I am a 28 year old male, recently completed my doctorate and am looking to supplement university teaching with some private tutoring. I have over a year\'s experience of home tutoring in English at GCSE level, and a year\'s experience of teaching Film Studies at degree level.
I am patient, friendly and communicate well with students of all ages.

I believe that learning should be fun, despite the seriousness of it. As an Artist I can relate to children's need of creativity, stimulation and inspiration;by being aware of this I can adapt this as strategies used to teach children and to gain not only their attention but also trust.

I am also a children’s writer and film Animator. My latest film, which deals with cultural diversity and tolerance has been shown to school children in both Britain and the United States . This film has been the basis of classroom forums. Other previous experience includes art therapy for adults with special needs.

My approach to tutoring is: The tutee and I will discuss what goals the tutee wishes to achieve and together we will work to achieve those goals (e.g. coursework, poetry). The tutee may bring before me any aspect of English literature or language that he/she wants to improve and we will work on it. For example, the tutee could show me some coursework he/she is doing and we could go through it and see where there could be improvement. One useful strategy is to look at texts and practise analysing them. The lessons are very flexible and I will work around the tutee's needs.

Le lezioni possono essere private o in gruppo e si svolgono ponendo molta attenzione sull'ascolto, con l'utilizzo di mezzi di attualità culturale quali canzoni, film e dialoghi. 

Le lezioni sono aperte a tutti coloro che vogliono conoscere l'ebraico moderno anche per necessità di lavoro. Non è richiesta alcuna conoscenza della lingua.

Mein Name ist Chris T und ich studiere Betriebswirtschaftslehre an der Fachhochschule Stralsund. Laut Hochschulranking des „Handelsblatt“ vom 31. März 2006 ist die Fachhochschule Stralsund eine der besten Hochschulen in Deutschland. Das ergab die Auswertung des BWL-Ratings, das vom Centrum für Hochschulentwicklung (CHE) durchgeführt wurde. Meine Schwerpunktfächer bilden dabei das Marketing sowie das Controlling.

Neben dem Studium engagiere ich mich in verschiedenen Projekten an der Hochschule, wie die „Konzeption eines Werbespots“ für ein regionales Unternehmen, „SPSS“, „Managementoptimierung in der Ver- und Entsorgungs-wirtschaft (MoVE)“ oder die Tätigkeit als Autor für das Buch "Von der Gründung zur Pleite". Somit habe ich mir zusätzlich über das reguläre Studium hinaus weitere Kenntnisse angeeignet.



Des Weiteren wurde ich im Mai 2005 Mitglied des Studierendenparlament (StuPa) der Fachhochschule. In dieser Funktion konnte ich zwei Jahre mein Verantwortungsbewusstsein als Referent des Finanzhaushaltes unter Beweis stellen. Seit November 2006 bin ich außerdem Tutor für das Fach „Allgemeine Betriebswirtschaftslehre“. Dabei gebe ich eigenverantwortlich Vorlesungen für andere Studenten, in denen der Lehrstoff gefestigt wird.



In diesem Semester werde ich meine Diplomarbeit über die Advertising Scorecard - ein strategisches Werbe-controlling Konstrukt in Anlehnung an die Balanced Scorecard von Kaplan und Norton - anfertigen. Die Entwicklung von Planungs-, Steuerungs- und Kontrollinstrumenten sind insbesondere in den strategischen Konzeptionsbereichen der Werbung lange Zeit vernachlässigt worden. Mit meiner Arbeit an dem Thema versuche ich, hier eine Lücke zu schließen.

I have been in publishing and advertising industry since 1988, I then started working as a DTP instructor from late 1996 till this day, and I have published hundreds and hundreds of stuff since day 1. I train over 300 students per year and 50% percent of my pupils come to Malta for my particular graphic design courses from all over the 4 continents.
